The new Blue Beetle trailer was actually really good and with BB being one of my favorite comic characters I had to make a new print before the movie drops. I’m still working on a background worthy of my boy but until then let’s enjoy a time-lapse.
So we’ve all seen the Blue Beetle before, I wanted to try something new with this one so I Miles Moralified him. When you think about it, Jamie Reyes, Peter Parker and Miles should all be in that Spiderman pointing meme.
So I’ll trust you to zoom in on the parts I’m describing but:
- Bakugo arm because you know Jamie would watch My Hero Academia
- I modeled this after the 10th Anniversary spider suit designed by Chase Conley with the baggy sweatshirt.
- I’m very proud of how his Dunks came out. I want to redo my Miles Morales piece with more realistic shoes one day.
- I had so much fun playing with the orientation of the claws and placing the ‘muscles’ in a way that makes sense functionally.
- I hate dark superhero suits because I put soooooooo much time into the line work that disappears into the fog.
